Easter Seals Newfoundland and Labrador is a volunteer-based organization which depends on the
efforts and commitment of people like you to help us succeed.
Do you have some spare time you could donate to help children
with physical disabilities? If you’ve got the time,
we have the opportunities.
Whether you're working directly with Easter
Seals kids, in a leadership role, helping in the office, or
raising funds, you'll be part of a team that is enriching
the lives of children with physical disabilities in
Newfoundland and Labrador.

Are you interested in giving some time
to help children with physical disabilities reach their
dreams?
Easter Seals has been expanding
programs and services for children with physical
disabilities at an unprecedented rate and needs volunteers
with varying levels of qualifications to assist in the
delivery of our Therapeutic Recreation Programs.
A new volunteer accreditation program
called Easter Seals Therapeutic Support Certification (TSC)
is designed to recognize and match an individual’s
interests, experience and qualifications with a variety of
program support roles.
TSC volunteers will receive disability
awareness, sensitivity, lifting and transferring and other
training to qualify them to work alongside the Easter Seals
program staff. All TSC volunteers will be qualified to work
in a variety of Easter Seals program settings including
camps and most therapeutic recreation programs. Some TSC
volunteers will have specialized training like life guarding
certification, sailing experience or hockey coaching skills
that will be most valuable in specific areas of Easter Seals
programs.
The smiles you help put on children’s
faces by giving them opportunities to grow, develop and just
be kids is one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable!

programs possible!

with activities ranging from strategic planning to answering
the phones, and everything in between! We have
opportunities to suit your skills, interests and
availability.
